Suzannah is a very enthusiastic Physio and brings so much energy to our team. She has a keen interest in both Womens Health and Functional training. Her experience with Jiu Jitsu, rowing and strength training have given her a great balance when it comes to understanding movement and rehabilitation, particularly with chronic conditions.
Suzannah is excellent in treating the pelvis, hips and spine to help establish good balance of the body. She is a great team member and a huge asset to the practice. If you are looking to not only set some goals, but smash them out the park then Suz is the Physio for you.
A little more about Suzannah
Seafood- in almost all its forms. Fresh sashimi is hard to beat!
Shobosho in Leigh street is a new favourite- excellent modern Japanese food. For breakfast, I can’t go past UR Cafe in North Adelaide.
Favourite way to stay active:
My sports of choice are Jiu Jitsu and Rowing, but I love a social bike ride or hike into the Adelaide hills too.
I’m easily swayed, but it has to be between The Crows and Port Adelaide!
I think incredibly highly of Kevin Pearce. He’s an ex-Olympic-hopeful half-pipe snowboarder who sustained a life-threatening brain injury training for the Olympics. He was in the ICU for 28 days and had to completely learn how to do everything again from scratch.
Today he is an avid promoter of the helmets in sport and is an inspirational public speaker. My favourite movie of all time is about his accident, recovery and support network: The Crash Reel. Amazing film!
Best way to keep fit:
A good routine and good recovery; find a balance of exercise that feels good and stays fun, get enough sleep and fuel your body with all the good, colourful food you can find.
Try to move every day in some form or another. Every bit counts!
